“Ma Suisse”, 2026
Positioned at the intersection of pedagogy and artistic practice, the project engages with the visual language of national symbols, folklore, and textile traditions as a means to interrogate the construction of identity. Each flag emerges as a singular proposition—an embodied reflection on what it means to negotiate belonging within Geneva’s plural, multicultural context.
By mobilizing reclaimed textiles sourced from local social initiatives, the work foregrounds material histories and gestures toward the environmental implications of textile production. These fragments, once discarded, are reassembled into new symbolic forms, echoing the layered and evolving nature of identity itself.
Situated at a formative moment in the lives of its participants, the project opens a space for critical inquiry into the ways identity is shaped, performed, and collectively reimagined
Presented at the Explore Demain Festival in Geneva.
